12/19/09 Odds & Ends -- Lite Version

Hey everyone. It's been a light week around here so it will probably be a light "Odds & Ends". I'm just taking a quick look to see if anything's going on that I missed. I'm still recovering from that awful week of finals, and will be traveling back to Alaska for the break over the weekend, so look for my posts to resume their regular frequency come Monday. Anyway, if the previous week was a Goldpanners love-fest, I anticipate this one to be all about the Bucs, for a couple of good reasons:

Box Score:

- The Anchorage Bucs have posted their 2010 roster on their website. Taking a casual glance at it, I think I count five returning players. Anyway, have a look for yourself.

- The Bucs have also posted a link to our "Why the ABL Rules" article, and as promised, I am now lavishing praise upon them. It's great to see they've updated their site with the roster and a link back to me. One thing I really like about the Bucs' site is their photo gallery and their series of photos that shows the entire Mulcahy face lift from start to finish. Pretty cool to see the before and after. Anyway, go check out their site now, and tell 'em I sent ya!

- As I already posted the other day, the Miners are facing some major challenges for the 2010 season and could use some help. Check out my earlier post.

On Deck:

- Since the Bucs have posted their 2010 Roster, I'll be working on my 2010 Players to Watch for the Anchorage Bucs this week and will have it posted at some point. I may or may not have it posted this week but it will be up by Sunday at the latest. It just depends on when I get to it and what kind of news comes up mid week.

- I'll be traveling back to Anchorage over the weekend. It's my wife, myself, a three year old and two infant twins. Traveling with twins by air, land or sea is wrought with challenges, so it may take  me a little while to recover. However, over the Christmas break I would like to travel around to the ballparks and see if I can get some stock photos for use on the blog here (despite everything being covered with snow, or so I hear).

That's about all I've got for this week. Next week will be more action packed, so stay tuned!

  1. That gallery of the new Mulcahy was pretty cool to check out. The field looks awesome.

  2. Yeah for real. I can't wait to see it in person this summer. I'd really actually like to get up close to the FieldTurf to see how it compares to real grass and oldschool AstroTurf.
